Who we are
Magic's Auto is a family-run garage at Unit 1 Paradise Works, Eden Street Industrial Estate, Coventry, CV6 5HE. We are the "controller" of the personal information described below.

What information we collect and why

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Reminders and marketing
We only send marketing emails and texts, such as MOT reminders, to our customers. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to the message or contacting us using the details above.
If you send us an enquiry through our website but are not a customer, we will only use your details to reply to you. We will not use them for marketing.
Who we share it with
We only share what is needed, with:
- Our website host and email provider (Hostinger and Google Workspace) so the site runs and we receive your enquiry.
- Google (reCAPTCHA spam protection on our form; Google Maps if you follow our map link). Google may process data in the UK, EEA or the US under its own privacy policy.
- The DVSA MOT testing service, for MOT test results (this is a legal requirement and is covered by their own notices).
- Accountants, insurers or legal advisers, if needed, and authorities where the law requires.
Cookies
Our website forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. Google may set a cookie and collect information about your device and browser for this purpose. We use caching (LiteSpeed Cache) to make pages load faster and WP Statistics to count visits. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- Website enquiries: 12 months after the last contact, unless you become a customer.
- Customer and vehicle/work records: 6 years for accounting, warranty and legal purposes.
- Website statistics: 12 months or less.
Your rights
You can ask us to: see the information we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; and, where it applies, move it elsewhere. To do any of these, email meghji@magicsauto.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
Security
We keep our website and systems up to date and limit who can see enquiries. No internet transmission is completely secure, so please do not send us payment card numbers by email or through the form.

Our site links to Facebook, Google Maps and gov.uk. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
